What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They help the site remember preferences and work correctly between page loads. They are not programs and cannot carry viruses.

Cookies we currently use

ratingup.org uses necessary cookies at all times. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) are only activated if you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner.

Name Type Purpose Duration
gdprConsent Necessary Stores your cookie preferences (analytics opt-in/out). Set in localStorage, not a browser cookie. Persistent (until cleared)
rh-lang Necessary Stores your language preference (ru / uk / en) so the site loads in the right language on your next visit 1 year
Session cookies Necessary Short-lived cookies required for the contact form and audit form to function correctly Session (deleted when browser closes)
_ga, _ga_* Analytics Google Analytics 4 — anonymised page views, session tracking. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. IP anonymisation is enabled. 2 years / 1 year
_clck, _clsk, CLID Analytics Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps. Stored in Microsoft Azure EU (West Europe). PII in forms is masked. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. 1 year / 1 day / 1 year

Necessary cookies cannot be turned off without breaking the site. Analytics cookies are off by default — you must opt in via the cookie banner.

How to manage cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to do it in the most common browsers:

Deleting the rh-lang cookie means the site will reset to its default language on your next visit. No other functionality will be affected.

Third-party cookies

ratingup.org does not load advertising, social, or retargeting scripts. When you accept analytics cookies, two third-party services are activated:

The only other external service the site calls is Cloudflare Workers (for the contact form). Cloudflare may set infrastructure-level cookies for security purposes — see the Cloudflare privacy policy for details.
